Personal Membership


Chemistry Australia is the peak body for the Australia chemistry industry, and advocates for the economic, societal and environmental value of the chemicals and plastics sector.

Membership of Chemistry Australia offers professionals working in the Australian chemistry industry and its value chains the opportunity to connect with this important advocacy work and be recognised for their service and contribution to the industry.

We are keen to build and strengthen interest in Chemistry Australia’s advocacy on behalf of the industry so that industry professionals are well equipped to influence other forums they are a part of, including in professional associations, which are increasingly advocating on issues of interest to the chemical industry.

For Chemistry Australia, we look forward to building connections and relationships with all professionals working in our industry and its value chains. It provides an opportunity for our Chemistry Australia Leadership Institute graduates and other professionals to have a voice in the industry they may one day lead.

Personal Membership

Personal Membership is open to applicants employed by:

  • A Chemistry Australia member company or organisation; or
  • A company or organisation in the national chemistry industry, its supply chain partners and customers, or in related institutions, for example universities, TAFEs and educational bodies; or
  • A company, organisation or start-up in a related or emerging industry

Former Chemistry Australia Board or Council members no longer working in the Australian chemistry industry, and retirees from a Chemistry Australia member company are also eligible for personal membership.

Personal Membership will provide individuals with opportunities to:

  • Foster links and build connections with fellow professional members and the broader industry,
  • Be recognised for their service and contribution to the industry, and
  • Connect with Chemistry Australia’s important advocacy work.

Personal Member Portal

Complementing the new Personal Membership offering is a new Portal on the Chemistry Australia website created specifically for Personal Members.

The exclusive Personal Member Portal includes a Personal Member Directory to foster networking. When applying for membership, Personal Members can choose to be added to the Directory, which will feature their professional profile complete with contact details, professional experience, and profile image.

Information regarding industry news, events, and publications will also be available in the Personal Member Portal.

Membership fees

The fee for Personal Membership to 31 January 2026 is $350.00 (plus GST).    Personal Members will receive a Certificate of Membership upon payment of their membership fee.
