Interest groups

Members of Chemistry Australia may form an interest group, with Board approval, to address specific issues facing their sector or marketplace.

Chemistry Australia interest groups are highly engaged with the strategic priorities of the industry and play a central role in delivering on our social licence and the sustainability of our sector.  Current interest groups include:

ambaAustralian Modern Building Alliance

The Australian Modern Building Alliance’s aim is to promote the use of polymers to enhance the sustainability of the built environment and add an informed voice about the use of polymer products in buildings to the public and policy debate.

 

psaPlastics Stewardship Australia

Plastics Stewardship Australia works closely with the Plastics Council on initiatives relating to Chemistry Australia’s Plastics Strategy with a particular focus on program delivery and providing technical expertise.

Plastics Stewardship Australia’s aim is to advocate for the responsible development, selection on merit, sustainable use and end of life management of plastics in an Australian circular economy.
