Our highly valued Member Regulatory Forums in August 2017 provided Chemistry Australia members with important legislative, regulatory and compliance updates, as well as the opportunity to discuss pressing industry issues.
The Forums were held in Kwinana WA, Rocklea Qld, Melbourne Vic and Sydney NSW.
Guest speakers and topic presentations included:
- Representatives from the Federal Department of Health and NICNAS discussing the progress of the reforms
- Reforms, structural changes and new programs from EPA Victoria, WA DMP and other state agencies
- The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator reviewing the Chain of Responsibility legislation and implications for members
- Updates on the National Environmental Standard for Environmental Risk Management of Industrial Chemicals
- Alerts and insights from the Chemistry Australia team on other regulatory issues directly relevant to members
In addition, attendees enjoyed networking with peers and presenters over a light lunch and during afternoon tea.
