Our first Leaders Forum for 2016 was a half-day event focussing on the China Australia Free Trade Agreement (ChAFTA). More than eighty people seized this chance to learn the ways in which their businesses can leverage the ChAFTA through new export and manufacturing opportunities.
The Forum was opened by the Hon Philip Dalidakis MP, Victorian Minister for Small Business, Innovation and Trade.
The tailored program then included:
- An overview of the ChAFTA - Free Trade Division, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
- Accessing Australian Government assistance programs and services - Austrade
- Securing finance - Export Finance and Insurance Corporation (Efic)
- Protecting your IP and developing patents - FB Rice
- Exporting your knowledge and skills - Qenos
- Navigating logistics challenges - International Customs and Logistics
- Panel discussion
We were also delighted that some of the industry's supply chain partners joined us for this valuable event.
We thank our event partner, the Australian China Business Council.
