More than 100 people participated in our Victorian Interface Function 2016, enjoying a fantastic evening of networking and conversation.
We were delighted to have Guest of Honour the Hon Lily D'Ambrosio, then Minister for Industry and Minister for Energy and Resources, join us once again following the successful inaugural event in 2015. The Minister shared new insights and updates on the Victorian Government's work to support growth and investment in advanced manufacturing.
As noted by the Minister, the Australian chemistry industry plays a major role in the Victorian economy and is critical to the future success of the State. The industry provides highly skilled jobs, value-added manufacturing, and essential inputs that enable most of Victoria's value chains.
Our Victorian Interface Function provided a unique setting to discuss the many opportunities for the industry to use clever chemistry to create globally competitive products, and strong local value chains.
The event also offered excellent networking, bringing together leaders of the Australian chemistry industry, senior Victorian government and regulatory officials, members of the research and academic community, industry supply chain partners, and other key business and industry stakeholders.
