We were delighted to celebrate the launch of Chemistry Australia with our members, Government and other stakeholders, at a series of events in Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.
Held in March and April 2017, the events profiled Chemistry Australia as the fresh face of Australia's $40billion chemistry industry.
Guest of Honour Senator the Hon Arthur Sinodinos AO, Federal Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, spoke about the critical role of the industry, employing more than 60,000 people in highly skilled STEM jobs, and contributing more than $11.5 billion to GDP in industry value add.
In addition, the Chair and the CEO of Chemistry Australia spoke about the industry being at the nucleus of the economy, supplying 109 of Australia's 111 industries. The industry's commitment to innovation was also featured.
Guests also enjoyed significant networking opportunities at the events.
