Industry Collaboration

Providing effective ways for industry to identify and engage with Australia’s significant research capability is a key focus of our innovation work.

Chemistry Australia is pleased to be involved in a range of collaborations that connect the capabilities of research and universities with the demand from industry for technology and talent.

These include:

  • $80M Green Chemical Futures facility at the Monash University, Clayton campus. This state-of-the-art teaching and research facility was developed by a consortia comprising: Monash University; CSIRO; the Environment Protection Authority Victoria with Commonwealth Government funding.

  • $25M Victorian Centre for Sustainable Chemical Manufacturing. This industry-focused research capability was developed by a consortia comprising: Monash University; CSIRO; the Environment Protection Authority Victoria with Victorian State-Government funding.

  • $4M ARC Research Hub for Energy-Efficient Separation to improve energy efficiency, cost-competitiveness, and environmental sustainability by for industries that use separation processes including chemistry, oil and gas, food, mining and water. Led by Monash University, the Hub will draw on the expertise of 33 leading scientists, researchers and industrial experts from Monash University and 25 partner institutions, including Australian and international universities and companies.

Chemistry Australia is exploring areas to further improve how industry and research/academia can engage, add value and deliver impact.
